Comparing the UK and Australia purely by annual tuition fee is misleading because most UK Master's degrees take 12 months, whereas most Australian Master's degrees take 18 to 24 months.
A 1-year UK Master's outside London typically requires an all-in budget of ₹26–₹36 Lakhs (including UKVI living proof of £1,171/month for 9 months and the Immigration Health Surcharge), followed by an 18-month Graduate Route visa for applications from 1 January 2027.
By contrast, a 2-year Australian Master's requires two years of tuition plus mandatory Subclass 500 living capacity proof of AUD $29,710 per year—bringing the total two-year outlay higher, but offering a 2-to-3-year Subclass 485 post-study work pathway and high statutory minimum wages.
